The problem with Wales is that he rarely scores (over 50 games at MC for no goals) and similarly his crossing into the box is really hit & miss. This is going to have to be my thread for AL ATM, because I've only just finished games from round 2. I just can't keep up with current AL rounds.
I'm speaking from the perspective of sitting in heaps of National Coaching Conferences and coach education, with Rob Baan, Han Berger, Ali Edwards et al, delineating what sort of players Aus needed to create to improve from 2008 - 2014.
Boy oh boy, are those players appearing en masse in the age 24 and under!
The only issue is that compared to the teams Socceroo seniors are playing ATM, most teams don't Squeeze intensively in the AL, apart from SFC against Jets in the first half. Players have heaps of time on the ball - not space as the lines are much closer together in the the AL than in 2005- 2012.
Who has impressed? So many players and so many teams.
Haven't quite finished the entire game with Vic playing Glory in Perth, but Glory have played very well under Griffiths in this game to be so low on the table. They've played some superb possession football and attacking interplay at times.
I've always rated Lachie Wales. He has done some superb dribbling - body swerves and La Croquetas to wrong foot players and create overloads for Glory. If you don't know what these moves are, I can explain.
Max Burgess, who I thought looked outstanding in his Hobart games, live, seems to be enjoying playing with younger, talented, well - coached, more technically adept teammates at Jets, under Milligan.

That’s not true, a 5 second google search can debunk thatWow!
Amazing he has scored no goals in over 50 City games?
Apologies - 53 A-League matches for 3 goals playing as a RW. the 2019-2020 season he did not score. That’s not true, a 5 second google search can debunk that

I think the New Zealand derby will be a close game given how both sides are missing key players with injuries but I'd say Auckland FC have the edge especially since their list is stronger compared to the Wellington Phoenix one.If you're a boxing promoter you'd want Wellington to win tomorrow. The return derby would sell out
