I wonder how many G and G members are involved in futsal, or small sided game formal comps and mixed gender competitions?
At the end of winter most 11v11 comps finish until March, or NPL Feb pre-season comps in this state.
I know players who've played in a NPL club 7v7 comp, sometimes mixed gender. Or futsal comps, sometimes mixed gender with both the Football Aus and Viking leagues. Sometimes they play in 3 different comps with 3 games per week in the spring season leading up to Xmas. This enables players to play a lot more competition football, with less weighting on tactics, sometimes more social, and they get a lot more touches and play in match 5v5 or 7v7 games. I've also coached a fair bit in these leagues.
Also, it gives a chance for younger players to play with and against senior players.
Some better female footballers like playing with and against men to improve their game. In some mixed gender leagues every second goal has to be scored by a female player to count.
