He's been stalking me going on 20 years. Even registered my username (and a dozen others) on sports forums everywhere and ran up a massive post count. Who the fuck does that 🤣

And, wasn't that long ago on 442 when he had the mod keys for a day or two, he edited dozens of my posts, giving them all the "Colon Oscopy" treatment.

Mind you, water off a ducks back. I find it fairly funny. Old mate, not so much.

I dont have a dog in the fight either way.... more than happy to clash online with anyone its all cyber bullshit anyway but if ANYONE is getting personal and diving into real life thats pretty crap behaviour. (im not saying you are anyone else did or didn't)

My 2 cents is be the bigger man, come out and clash with the rest of us, don't pick on the vulerable.

You don't know what everyone's life circumstances are and if the bloke is getting frazzled, go easy... No matter what sort of alpha-male persona some wanna fantasy project on here... its would be pretty shit knowing you caused some poor dude to go off the rails in real life....

The thing with politics is it really brings such incredible hostility in people.

It's because no one can have a debate in a civil way these days. Now if you say one tiny thing wrong or it's perceived as wrong, someone looses their shit. I enjoy talking and debating it with people if we can sit and have a good discussion - but yeah some people....🤪

It can evoke hostility.

I'm heavily involved in politics/political activism off forum. I don't post much on G and G about politics, because it is a bit like a job off forum at times. I'm on the 7 person executive of a retired section of a nationwide Aussie 1.8 million member political organisation.

I've done a lot of doorknocking in suburbs and towns where householders are usually polite - or - just refuse to engage, but usually quickly shut the door without aggro. Stall holding, to solicit signatures for petitions, one gets a few more hostile members of the public, because they have an audience.

It is online where a number of people become hostile, angry and troll. A lot of female MPs I know, cop incredible abuse and trolling online in social media. Some quit because of it.

I've been been in a political party on a number of occasions over the last 5 decades. So many in political parties, usually prospective career politicians, are keen to advance their careers - become an MP or win a senior office bearing position - that allegiances change all the time. People perceive others as threats. There is often little trust and a great deal of suspicion of other members.

In political pressure groups, generally united by unity of purpose and shared values, allegiances and friendships don't tend to change much over the years. It is very different from political parties, as I know one political party in particular.

There is a lot of camaraderie in pressure groups that develops from standing side by side with mates in campaigns. We tend to drink together too, and meet up for dinners and parties. The ages range from 18-70 - all drinking together!

You have to wonder about blokes that want to dox you because they got their arse handed to them on the internet.

How sad a life would you have lead to take a deep dive into someone's online persona to find out who they actually are.

And for what? So you can try and ruin their lives or create some sort of havoc. Pathetic.

Most of the threads here are quite civil with the exception of replies to the resident retard. There's a lot of mutual respect between the majority of the members.
