Foreign v Local national team coaches/manager

Decided to start a new thread on this - am taking a look at a range of national teams, and noting the Top 5 for both "Foreign" and "Local" and Bottom 3 overall for the following, and just looking to compare:
  • Australia
  • Germany
  • France
  • Spain
  • Netherlands
  • Hungary
  • Italy
  • England
  • Croatia
  • USA
  • Argentina
  • Brazil
  • Uruguay
  • Japan
I am not including Caretaker coaches (if that's what they've been specified as), unless they also went on to manage full time. For example, will include Les Scheinflug and Raul Blanco's caretaker periods, but obviously not Rob Baan, and Aurelio Vidmar's.

Also noting that not all nations above have had foreign coaches, so in those instances will be just Top 5 and bottom 3 (first example of that is Germany). In some cases (eg, France, and Spain) selection committees selected the team, with a coach appointed 'under watch' of the committee, with these managers deemed as "unofficial", or joint managers. I won't be counting them.

These are organised by national team (order above), just by Win ratio % from their main period in charge.

I'm going to be adding to these through the day - but just wanted to start with Australia, and Germany (side note - including Caretakers, they've only had 13 managers since the dawn of time. And, that caretaker was only in charge for 1 match.)

We did this on Science of Football in about 2010.

We only got as far as Pim though. A mate of mine is a mate of Les Scheinflug's. When he read his impressive win/loss percentage, comparatively, he was really chuffed!

He and Raul B played against a lot of Oceanian opposition though.

I'm interested in reading the win/loss record of Socceroo coaches since Pim.

I actually think he is king of NT gaffas or near enough to that.
The players coming through at his disposal between RM/Barca core near on every single position are some that became legends of the game from that tenure.
You see some other impressive win ratios but his over 114 with 87wins wow.
 
good ol Les, he learnt the arts being assistant to Rale for '74 campaign then to take coaching roles of our U17 then U20's before the NT.
His ratio is impressive but I always think, stats say one thing, who they played over the period tells the real background.

I might include them in for comparison actually, as I'm also having a look at some who have coached a combination of these nations (Hiddink, BVM to name a few)

I think the most fair comparison would be limiting it to those in charge of qualifying through Asia. So Pim, Osiek, Ange, Arnold and Popa. Outside of this there are huge variables through the eras.
