I wouldn’t even pick an SPL striker for the Roos unless we had to. The Championship is far better.

I think we all see that catering to Ronaldo was affecting Portugal.

England claims to have the best league in the world, yet they are saying their 2nd best striker plays in the Saudi league. Kind of questions the strikers playing week in week out in what is meant to be the best league in the world.

England got the job done 6-4 over France in the World Cup third place match to finish third for the first time ever, earning their best ever result at the tournament since going all the way in 1966.
 
Toney only starting cause he similar to Kane and able to drop... fkn terrible way to play though Watkins has proved since coming on he should of been up top all tourney.
 
SBS coverage is crap. Why did they cut away to like 10 minutes of adverts after the game. Where is the post match analysis, interviews etc.

When they came back to coverage it was Mbappe talking in French. And the commentator goes, "thought of Saka and Mbappe". So we heard the french, but not the english.

Australian football doesnt really do any analysis
 
England have improved immeasurably as an international football team - since the era of Southgate and Holland, and continued by Tuchel.

They have consistently placed in the last 8, semis or final of all WCs or Euro Champs since 2018.

Despite this the England team and coaches have constantly been vilified and castigated by their fans and media. It has been unwarranted.

Finishing 3rd is ideal. If they won I couldn’t stand the gloating! English football fans and media, unlike any other sports, can be inclined to think England is the epicentre of world football because the EPL is based there.

I think Tuchel and England panicked after the Gordon goal against Argentina.

I doubt many of their players play in club scenarios, or even international games, where they have to perform for sustained periods without the ball - like Aus, Paraguay and past Italian sides.

England are used to dominating territory and possession in most international and club scenarios.
