And I forgot Portugal also made the WC semis in 2006They also made the semi-finals of Euro 1984 and Euro 2000. Benfica and Porto have also won the European Cup/Champions League 4 times.
A very good historical record for a country of only 11 million people.
Yep, total St Pauli types who think the sentiments of that supporter base are peak anti-establishment...They're Jackson Irvine fanboys
It was a candidate. Of the matches I saw the following were dull.Portugal v Spain was possibly the most boring game of this WC.
Much better option than the Blut und Boden Hamburger SVYep, total St Pauli types who think the sentiments of that supporter base are peak anti-establishment...
Nathan Cleary was apparently a Man U fan growing up. Not sure how that sits well with his more famous girlfriend Mary Fowler.Alot of the NRL players are actually huge EPL fans.
Opening day of the entire World Cup surely can't have been that dull.Mexico v South Africa
South Africa was terrible. I had premonitions of lots of bad games after that with all these inferior nations playing.Opening day of the entire World Cup surely can't have been that dull.
I don't think NRL is an enemy. Has always generally been quite accepting (at least in Sydney) to me of eachother. Sure, there's a few bogans here and there that will shit on football - but it's very different to what I've generally encountered with AFL fanbases.Nathan Cleary was apparently a Man U fan growing up. Either way I’d hope he uses that to help support the A-League and Aussie soccer. It sounds stupid but are codes really enemies? People like more than one code.
It probably depends on where you are too. If you live in, say, Adelaide, then NRL has no social standing at all. Only 5,000 to 7,000 people a week watch NRL in SA.I don't think NRL is an enemy.
