That yellow card for Iran now swaps New Zealand with Iran
 
Two further changes for New Zealand in the second minute of second half stoppage time. Jesse Randall and Tyler Bindon come on for Sarpreet Singh and Marko Stamenic respectively.
 
New Zealand played out a 2-2 draw with Iran in their World Cup group G opener, meaning that all four of today's matches have ended in draws and the All Whites are still yet to win a World Cup game after seven matches played.
 
I did not see it but what a result for Cape Verde.For Spain was it a case of too much tiki taka but not enough ticker.
Belgium were poor in the first half against Egypt but better when Lukaku came on who used his physicality to good effect to force the own goal

I'm now going to make the assumption that Uzbekistan (Being the lowest ranked of the unplayed nations from Pot 3) do not do good enough reach the Round of 32, and the 3 losing teams in third place so far eliminated alongside them, which would now leave a knockout stage of:

What a top game between NZ and Iran.Both sides committed to attack.Chris Wood and Elijah Just worked resulting in two goals for the latter player.Fair result.Wood is so good at holdig the ball and laying it off
Uruguay finally broke down the Saudi defence whose keeper had a great game
All four games today ended in draws but not sterile performances for the main.

as I've been saying since the draw came out - I want 2nd place in our group, and I want them or NZ in second place of theirs - not for the path, but purely for the vibes that either fixture will be.
