How much difference does a coach make? Poch is obviously well known I feel like tuchel is going to make a difference to England as well
Head coaches make quite a large difference to a side and their choices of playing list and tactical system can either make or break a major tournament campaign.

He did well with Spurs despite his lack of silverware. He started with the USMNT badly but he’s bound to have success.

Didnt watch the match but that score line is impressive.....would be one of the most satisfying victories in our history if we pull it off but gee it wont be easy
When do we have an easy game ?
Never ?!
Paraguay were like rabbits in front of headlights 1st half game won.
Was it nerves ? Partly but the yanks were on a mission and ran the game and attacked !
That’s football not sitting back forever waiting to play that checker game of opportunity soak up Poppa way.
I wish we had them 3/4 game after that for if we play as such I have fear.
Worse if we don’t get the result tomorrow bank 3 let alone 1.

Paraguay will have to come out and try and beat us due to goal difference
That's why I feel a big US victory is one of the better results. Paraguay are now under immense pressure and must attack. Had they beaten the USA they'd be able to sit back in our final game.

We'll know a lot more after our first game but hopefully we can avoid defeat as a start. Win and we're going to be in a decent position.

Interesting game. I missed the first half this morning and only just finished watching it.

Take aways

1) USA looked good.
2) They looked good after the Caceres yellow card after his first challenge. After that Pulisic could do whatever he liked
3) Paraguay looked naive and switched off at the end of each half.
4) USA 15 fouls 1 yellow card, Paraguay 17 fouls (some of which I couldn't see a foul for) and 5 yellow cards. That seems to be what happens to them in Concacaf as well.

What I think it showed was that the US can be very, very good if you let them. They will be very tough. I still can't see then getting past R16 though.

To be fair, card wise - without the new VAR rule, it would have been 2 to US and 4 to PAR
