FIFA WC 26 - Other Nations LIVE Match Thread ⚽

One week to go!

Going to have to have a really planned out schedule with work, rest, matches, rest. I won't be watching every game live.

World cup power rankings.

A few lower fancied sides doing well in practice games. Iran look strong. Haiti and Cape Verde surprising. Uzbekistan and New Zealand disappointing. Jordan with a tough outing against Switzerland.

Ecuador are highly fancied and have looked decent while Ghana seems to have dipped.

I genuinely don't think the All Whites will score a single goal after the Haiti game. They were completely and utterly shithouse against a very similarly ranked nation.

The All Whites will be lucky to have Chris Wood find the back of the net against their group stage opponents and clearly the A-League Men players' form has not translated from club level to international level.

Scotland's ref for their opening game is the Algerian Australia has against Denmark who blew the dodgy penalty only to see the flag was up. I fear he'd have snapped and not taken it back by VAR.

Teaching A2 phrasal verbs. Nearly in the mood now after a long day.

Can't sense a tournament is starting summer sunshowers on a Thursday. Hannover town centre is dead.

People even low energy for Curaçao but that's understandable.

Feels like the old rugby world cup where the quarter finals is where it heats up.

Mexico and South Africa have named their playing lists ahead of the World Cup opening match getting underway at the Estadio Azteca, with the opening ceremony for the tournament proper also set to get underway.

Mexico fielding a similar starting XI to their third and final pre-World Cup friendly against Serbia for opening day, with just the one change made which sees Israel Reyes come into the lineup ahead of Jorge Sanchez.
