This is also very true. Look at pages like 433, Fabrizio Romano, OneFootball, etc. 90% of what they cover is CONMEBOL/UEFA and when it comes to domestic football it’s probably 95% Big Five and 5% Big Two, other Euro leagues, the MLS and SPL. They don’t even cover the J1 League and when Japan do well the commenters are shocked that a team from outside CONMEBOL or UEFA can actually play quality, entertaining football, even though anyone with a brain has known that for years.Particularly when they play outside UEFA.
In coach education courses im Aus, all the latest methodology and research used comes out of UEFA - easily the biggest, richest and most powerful global football federation.
The problem for many UEFA stakeholders is that they know nothing about any football outside UEFA. Playing outside it is a shock.
All the money spent on the Saudi Pro League was to bolster playing lists with world-class import players though. All the money spent on the Saudi league hadn't done shite has it
Damn - New Zealand's record will be brokenCape Verde currently second in group H with three points from three draws.
No it hasn’t.All the money spent on the Saudi league hadn't done shite has it
Uruguay are third in group H as things stand given that they're currently 1-0 down against Spain and Saudi Arabia would be level on two points but with inferior for and against.Damn - New Zealand's record will be brokenAnd it's just funny that it's them going through in 2nd rather than 3rd too
And what has that achieved? All the money spent on the Saudi Pro League was to bolster playing lists with world-class import players though.
Looking at the combinations, this will knock Group H out of the 3rd place progression, and start to guarantee a few things in the bracket.Uruguay are third in group H as things stand given that they're currently 1-0 down against Spain and Saudi Arabia would be level on two points but with inferior for and against.
They can sign old men willing to take the bag.And what has that achieved?
From the combinations left (I haven't looked at the table), I believe this means Bosnia (already confirmed), Paraguay, Ecuador and Sweden confirmed in as 3rd places. Senegal all but confirmed (is only one of the combos left where they haven't qualified)Looking at the combinations, this will knock Group H out of the 3rd place progression, and start to guarantee a few things in the bracket.
Would confirm Germany v Paraguay
Eventually went down to 10 which was quite unnecessary.Rubbish performance from Uruguay. Played like thugs at the end
First time ever they have been knocked out at successive world cup group stages
Bad keeping there from Uruguay![]()
Worse than Turkey? Less points with a better team but lost less games?Uruguay is the flop of the tournament. You have R.Araujo, Gimenez, M.Araujo, Ugarte, Bentancur, Valverde etc and you can't make a decent team.
Darwin Nunez also looks ridiculous with those corn rows.
