In the Man United v Bournemouth game this morning both 3rd goals were scored by direct free kicks from just outside the area. Neither keeper got anything on the shots as they went into the net. To me, they were positioning themselves incorrectly, too much behind the wall which ostensibly is to block half the goal from the shot, which gave the kicker free reign to slot the ball into the unguarded corner of the net.

Why I put it here is questioning a lack of trust by the keeper on his judgement of the walls. Even both walls had a player lying down to prevent the ball sneaking under the jumping defenders.
 
Watching United is getting worse and worse. I'm done with so many of them. Let us move on from Amorim, Bruno, and all these random lacklustre staff.

I was having fears our sharp decline was going to kill IF I saw your lot getting better but I'm happy atm were both ordinary but I see some light appearing for us compared to yours.

Honestly, the goals we conceded were so basic. They cut right through the middle every single time. You'd think professionals getting paid at that level would figure this out and fix it. Not us. We just let them back in every single time.

Leeds win 4-1. Antoine Stach with a worldie of a free kick at the end. Huge 3 points for us.
 
So sick of this faking a head injury to prevent an attack. If replays show no contact to the head, a yellow card must be given.

If it's a graze or bump of the head I can understand but it's not either no contact at all or a bump to the shoulder in the air and a player grabbing the back of their head.
 
Been a great season but found the 3pm 27th session a bit dull and low energy. Post Christmas lunch sluggishness I guess.

You bringing that up re the wolves big fella ?
If so yep utter joke the carrying on after but worse was his frigging acting in the place.
These guys really need yellow cards !

Thank Christ lfc are starting to settle down and take some points finally.
Though we donā€™t look fluent enough at all and the slow slotball business of up play is frustrating viewing.

Maty Cash was my example tonight. He cleanly heads away a cross in the box and decides to stay down not knowing where the ball is. Absolutely no contact in the duel.
 
I missed Cash but heā€™s been a good actor for ages I can imagine.
In our game it took at least 5mins and more
 
If you like football and I'd assume that most people on here do then how could you not want to see Aston Villa win the title?

This team doesn't have many if any big money, superstar signings, its not one of the 'glamour clubs', doesn't have much in the way of a world wide 'fanboy' culture and has a very likable.and hard working manager who is what you might call a genuine football man....

They probably don't have the legs, so to speak, to win the Premier League title but they said that about Leicester City a decade ago!!
 
Donā€™t mind the Villians at all.
Way better than the gooners possibly winning though expect them to choke.

well thankfully were crawling back up the ladder though we are no where near the team of old.
I'm pretty frustrated watching Slotball - its all way too slow, we give teams that time to reset and stack their half.
We got Leeds at home followed by Fulham away - like to think we got these but I'm not confident before we visit the gooners that will be a pivital game me think.

Palace and Sutherland runs have been slowed.

Liverpool appear to still be on a downwards trajectory even though they have been winning of late as their performances have not been convincing. Not sure if it's a manager issue or a squad issue, as they did look really good last season. What happened to that?
 
Got rid wrongly of too many players and some were core of recent times - the spend was looking to the future due to some aging players.
VVD/MO/Robbo for eg - these 3 are key personal as many know.
Jota RIP huge loss and a team fav amongst many players.
Diaz, silly let go imo.
Quansah - was great back up for Konate/VVD.
Nunez, as much of a train wreck caused alot of havoc.
TAA - MASSIVE loss.

Loaned
Elliot
Tsimi

Obviously the over paid buys that Writz is coming good now and Ekitike is great buy !
Isak - OTT and now injured.
Kirkez I'm still 50/50 but showing signs of coming together still young, should be way better next season on.
Frimpong, I actually don't mind him - been injured as well but he ain't no TAA.

So all the above has changed our DNA and Slot trying to fit Wirtz has changed our style incl Frimpong that has had MO in a spin trying to figure them out.
