I'm not sure Frank is THAT good a manager. His record with the Danish national youth teams was patchy, he under-performed at Brondby, sacked as manager there and became assistant at Brentford, then got the main job because they prefer to promote from within. At Brentford he was the beneficiary of a great football department giving him the right players... He's now jumped into Spurs - who never seem to know who to sign, or why - so just buy whoever looks good this month...

I was lucky to watch whilst here in Saudi "live".
We are a absolute shadow of ourselves I can't believe how quickly we have lost the plot especially @ Anfield when even in hard times in the past we could hold it together.
Yours was a great take by Talbi, top strike but woeful defending.
Opponents sitting deep we just don't have the smarts like we used to get the much needed goal.
Hopeless on counters we are slowing up alot of forward play.
Whereas you guys looked fluent going forward pass's stuck.
I'll take the point thats the only positive out of it for us.
Just 2 from 4th is a blessing.

I wouldn't be too down on how your lot played - we make good teams look bad. We're actually better against good teams (Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool) than bad teams (which is why we lost to Burnley, Man Utd and Fulham). Our defensive organisation leaves so little room for making chances - we sit so deep that you can't get in behind...

I was gutted that Wilson didn't get that goal at the end... He was brilliant in one-on-ones last season, he should have gone down when Chiesa grabbed his shoulder, but he's too honest.

I thought he was going to do this finish...

Well firstly to become a world class football club you're going to need a world class management structure which would include a world class first team manager and coaching staff....

So bye bye Eddie Howe and co....

Then you're going to have to invest in world class players. They only have one of those that might be at that level at the minute in Bruno Guimaraes so it's going to need at least £600m to be spent on 4 or 5 others....

Yes and no.

Yes - Slot is on borrowed time, looks like he's lost the room. What my boys appear to have done brilliantly (a lot of new players and team changes but everyone bedded in immediately with good team spirit), he looks like he's completely screwed.

No - fact is Mo hasn't looked his old self this season, and obviously doesn't like not being picked first. Wants his big move to Saudi before people realise he's lost that extra 1%.
 
Nice goal by Harry Wilson. Would really like Wales and Ireland to get to the world cup over the others. Would be quite the event having them in North America.

For our group on a cultural side I think the Slovakian beer drinkers and food fits best. Not to say Turkey doesn't have great food.

I quite enjoy watching Crystal Palace. They're not by any means spectacular and they shouldn't really be in the top 4 but they seem to have a really good team bond and it shows in their play.

Agreed - no matter what level the team is harmony is gold and pays dividends.

as mentioned in another thread its all about team harmony and then you see that on the pitch.
Our reshuffle and releases has really upset the cart and thats on Slot's hands of man management.
Makes it worse paying big bucks for Wirtz struggling to find form/function with his team mates and Isak is a shell what he was at Toonville.
Not their faults entirely whatsoever also.
We changed too many players after successful number of years - its effected regular players form at the same time.
Fascinating to say the least :):(
MO - lose 1% naturally gonna happen @ 33 but whats contirbuted to his loss of form is our change of play and harmony mixed with all the above mentioned, he's also guilty himself of over doing it, the amount of errors, he's pushing it what isn't going to come off period, he isn't seeing this.
His press outburst is childish actually as time has passed having said good on him originally, I hope he learns from it.
