That statement is a false equivalency, regardless of the democratic nature of the voting ( journalists & players also vote for the Balon D'Or )it's beyond pathetic that an awards night like every single football club in Australia no matter how small and no matter how modest the ceremony may be doesn't exist for a professional league. If they're stuck for a cheap venue then I can recommend that alot of local councils allow their town halls to be used for free. Byo drinks and food.

Exactly right... @melbcityguy hates that the players dont have any loyalty to the clubs, well the clubs and the APL show absolutely NO respect to the players... EVERY SINGLE club we have all played fopr or watched holds an end of season awards night, and most member federations hold an end of season league awards night. not good enough at APL.
