I tend to avoid/am not a fan of commenting on or name dropping individuals on the internet personally, but a minor correction on this one, he technically has been coz I seem to recall one of the wanderers first ever games being a friendly v Sydney united at king Tom. Funny coz there’s no way they’d think that would be a good idea to organise a friendly like that between those 2 clubs open to the public now

What i meant was, he was never a regular at NSL game, or post NSL in the State leagues.

I’m pretty sure there were some polish people involved in Sydney fc in the early days too, the club itself started off seeming very Anglo as many wogs were still clinging to their traditional clubs but as you say as time has gone on it’s become more and more of a mix of all ethnic groups, you can see it in the way their style of support has evolved

Haha remember that incident they reference in the article from the week before when the former SCC having been expelled from Sydney fc and rebranded as RBB went and attacked Sydney fc fans at a pre season friendly at Campbeltown now the “manor” of the mighty macarthur fc ofcourse

Not hearing ALL those otherwise vocal AL muppets commenting on the crowd figures in decline. not a peep about ccm etc and the numbers?? ..after giving so much to say in your wisdon about the crowds in other comps, why total silence i wonder? Bit hypocritical no? Not that we expected otherwise, but hey!

Did they cut the freebies in Auckland did they?

Those crowd announcement still keeping on par with 'AL reality' and not bursts your bubble yet? Tell you what, would hate to see the actual (real) figures at the games we can all see on tv, images etc but are told otherwise .... all continuing to be camera shy i suppose (baaaaa)

It’s interesting coz now I would say Sydney fc are probably more heavily associated with modern left leaning politics and the wanderers harbour more of that working class anti PC sentiment.

My 2c ..Say what you will about modern football/a league clubs, but the sydney fc v wanderers rivalry is much more “real” and has a lot more to it than the Melbourne a league derby is regardless of the way the clubs themselves were formed

Sydney FC politically are quite mixed, I think you will see the younger crowd be the complete opposite though of left leaning.
