Former Capital Football CEO Heather Reid commented this on NPL Canberra's post (not an official page of Capital Football/NPL) yesterday.

Again, I think it's likely they've found some sort of work around or something to keep the women's going for a while off of Capital Football's hands, with the mens entry to be delayed yet again.

Youve got a team that cannot get relegated from the top flight, arent you STILL having a good time?

Fixtures come out on Thursday. I suspect we will hear about Canberra and the Mariners ALW on that day or before
not according to A Leagues Media Department emailed me on Thursday Afternoon @patjennings with the following update.

The team has been working through these logistics for the last few months - as always a lot of challenges with venues, but three teams in the AFC competitions is a good problem to have.

Hopefully we can share more in the next few weeks about the fixtures for next season. Stay tuned.

I have heard this week from a few people and someone confirmed Thursday. We'll see later this week but at least one of the people is usually spot on.

If expansion doesn't happen I'll most likely piss Paramount plus off.
Aleague's too small for the money outlay. Just go the highlights.

be silly given Adelaide don't know which Asian competition they'll be in as yet post their ACL Elite playoff on August 11th (win remain in ACL Elite go into league phase, lose drop down to ACL Two group stage).

Football Australia hasn't even released its domestic match calendar for next season as well and recent precedence that comes out before the A League fixture release as well they should be very stupid.

Domestic Match Calendar (2022/23: June 29th, 2023/24: July 13th, 2024/25: July 18th, 2025/26: July 25th)
Isuzu UTE A League Men fixture release (2022/23: July 28th, 2023/24: August 24th, 2024/25: August 2nd, 2025/26: September 11th)
AFC club competition group stage/league phase draws (2023/24: August 24th, 2024/25: August 16th, 2025/26: August 15th, 2026/27: August 18th)
Do not book away days club until AFC releases match schedule for ACL Elite and ACL Two (re Newcastle Jets, Adelaide United, Melbourne Victory are competing in Asia for 2026/27 season)
