No buyer confirmed yet - APL will put all their efforts into finding a buyer for a Canberra licence in time for the beginning of the 2027/28 season.

Hope so. Canberra like Wollongong are way overdue to have a team.

Yes - but issue with Canberra is no one wants to do it anymore after how the last two expansions treated the place.
Now, not only that, but then there's the uncertainty of the chicken-egg scenario with the stadium - because that looks like the ACT Gov won't do anything about that until there's an A-League team here, but an A-League team won't come until that's sorted.

Wollongong on the other hand - WIN Stadium is perfect. Should have been Wollongong and Canberra instead of Macarthur and Western.
