What will happen with no Critter? Do we start with Sexton Galvin 6 7 ..
Good question, perhaps we should.

I think Tuala and Critter are probably out.

Maybe play Kiraz in the centres and Wilson on the wing. Or Kiraz and Xerri in the centres Montoya and Rinakama on the wings.

A big gamble would be playing Woods or O'Neill off the bench with Sexton starting.

The way we played Burton in the centres and he still did some kicks worked pretty well.

But IMO Kiraz and Xerri in the centres Montoya and Rinakama on the wings. Sexton 14.

I forgot about Xerri but not sure if Montoya will be back k but if Critta is back then full strength team . . Rinakama great future player ..

I would suggest

Wilson and Burton combine
Kiraz and Xerri on the other side
Galvin and Sexton halves
Mahoney stays out
Can't think of any other injuries
Would be nice to think we have another bench player that could play a role in the centres and/or utility to define himself off the bench..

Next man up is being stretched to the limit lol

I would like to keep Burton, Galvin and Woods are both good young players. But one more experienced guy in the halves is good.

According to the NRL site Burton is contracted to 2027.

Next season Woods, O'Neill or Tia can play the role Sexton played. Tia is good in the centres.

I also agree 100% with Cirro's presser we copped some absolute BS decisions from the ref in this game.

In particular, the not high tackle that they kicked the goal from.

Hopefully a big crowd can fire the boys up. And get us more of the 50-50s.

We were still a bit clunky, forward passes from Galvin and Mann, dropped ball from Curran, Sexton kicked out on the full, Mann didn't execute a kick.

We might need a game with better execution to jag a win.

Great game from Rinakama a real leap forward for him. Knock on was marginal a highly contested 50-50. After that he was strong under the high ball.

All of the team played pretty well, can't fault the effort.

If we want to gamble Sexton 7, Woods 14.
Woods has a very dangerous running game and a good kicking game.
Woods could play fullback and Tracey could shift to wing or centre.
Tia can play in the halves or the centres, O'Neill is physically more ready.
Throwing a young guy in for a debut in a must win semi is unusual, but it might lift the team energy.

Not out of options yet, but we need a game with no HIA's or injuries.

I always thought that Adam Gee was one of the better refs, but tonight he displayed Sutton-like incompetency and inconsistancy and Klein was no better.

*that second last post should have read 18 all.... fat fingers small keypad syndrome.

I agree with Cirro, we have the depth to put out a good side next game.

Hughes and Marhoney can come back in.

Wilson, Turpin, Sua, Tia, Woods, and Todd could play.

Players who are carrying injuries or need a rest could be rested.

Teams often go out in straight sets due to injuries, fatigue or not being good enough.

We need 17 fit and energetic players.

I agree if it was 18 all we didn't need to go for a try. We might have been able to win the game with a field goal.

The other calls that annoyed Cirro were.

1. The call of a crusher tackle against Mann and the penalty for back chat when we were well on top. We never saw a replay.

2. Storm slowing our play the ball more than we were slowing theirs. I have noticed that when we are on top at their end the Storm deliberately concede a 6-again and then take ages to get off the tackled player and clear the ruck. This is deliberate cheating, something that the Storm has typically done.

IMO we were the better team in the 2 losses to the Storm and the loss to the Panthers. In all 3 games we had bugger all luck and we outcompeted the opposition for a majority of the game.

Fix up our execution a bit get at least a 50% slice of the luck, we can beat any other team.
