. Putting Sexton in makes sense . As mentioned Burto may need to go to centres. I would not be surprised if Sexy starts at 7 and Galvin off the bench or starts at 6. We definitely need extra forwards on the bench . Shame it happened but Mahoney probably needed to be sacrificed.
I wound not be playing players if they are not fully fit ..
 
I'm excited and realistic.

If we can somehow win, that is a big step forward for the club and we are a genuine contender.

But we might not win.

Unless there is an injury/HIA issue I expect Sexton to sit on the bench for most of the game.

Players playing with injury this time of the season is fairly common.

Sexton will plug the gap in the kicking game if we need to move Burton out of the halves. And we don't want to move Hayward from hooker.

I was surprised about some of the comments about Marhoney some members of the club apparently made to the media. Not surprised that they are thinking that, but very surprised that we are telling the media that.

I can't see Marhoney playing in the semis for us at all this season and that also isn't totally surprising.
 
I hope that we win ODF, I'm optimistic but I expect the Storm to be good, so we need to be really good.

That is a possibility.

I am not underestimating how hard this game against the Storm will be.

Should we lose, then next week we will have great crowd support, and that might make a difference.

Finishing second and having a home semi would have made a big difference.

That probably comes down to 2 games that we were unlucky to lose, the losses to the Storm and Panthers.

I still think that our loss to the Tigers was partially due to the intense game against Manly the previous week, both physical and mental.

Usually, if you can get the mind right, it drags the body along.

Tonight's game is the most important game of the season so far, if the boys can turn up in the right mental space that will help.

Starting well is essential, not many comeback wins in finals series, that is why they are memorable,.
 
It will be tough Storm will use all tactics to win .. they know by having few key players out it will be tough for them as well if they lose too .
As I mentioned in earlier post the boys need to go all out and pull no stops tonight .. few players need to pull their finger out and put that extra effort :
 
Sexton did more in 1 min with his 1st touch then Galvin has in a bulldogs shirt.

Look at lot better in this first half with him on now
 
Sexton has really improved. Very different to the player that joined our club.

Just need to avoid the forward passes and take our chances.
 
We tried hard, but didn't get much luck.

Storm got a few calls.

Still a chance next week.
