I could be wrong but I think he's injury history is not helping him but also agree maybe Leicester is playing hard ball as well.Souttar not attracting interest is not good. His WC performance against Turkey was one of the best of the WC … yet the world has decided he’s a League 1 defender, while his partners in crime go to the EPL and Primeira Liga?
Its not ideal but I rather they play senior football than play in the under 23s, even if it means league 1 or Bundesliga 3 just to get game time and more experience it will benefit them overall.
For Leonard's sake they were never going to put him into a Bundesliga environment given he's lack of experience plus they want to avoid the drop so they need all the good players they can get, but he's still young and can develop over time.
We wish our players were like Lucas Herrington and play straight away in the MLS but Germany is such a step up regardless.
I'd rather be in Europe or MLS than play a 26 game season that starts in October if im a loanee tbh.
Herrington is also a rare case of a player going up levels so quickly as well, again that first step overseas is the most important for our players.I suppose it’s interesting to see Hull give Herrington the minutes for his development whilst also navigating competitiveness and survival in arguably the toughest competition in the world.
The transfer fee for Leonard also suggests he’s a project rather than a vital cog.
I’m sure 3.Liga minutes is worthwhile. The broader question is whether it’s better than say playing in Austria or Switzerland let alone Belgium & Netherlands.
With Trabzonspor getting Richarlison instead of Toure shows he's getting some suitors and there's is belief he can make it in EPL.
Needs to keep banging them in till January
Toure to Turkey would be very unwise. It's a pisstake league with lots of drama.
Turkey is your last stop out of Europe.
I’m glad our players no longer go to Turkey. There was a time in the early 2000’s when we had quite a few there.
I heard from Romano that Richarlison would earn 3x his current Spurs wages, so these turkish teams have moneyWith Trabzonspor getting Richarlison instead of Toure shows he's getting some suitors and there's is belief he can make it in EPL.
