Australian transfers 26-27 Summer

Hull City seems underwhelming compared to the big clubs he was linked with.

The premier league has a lot of cash these days but I wanted to see how he will go at a big club and the worst case scenario he gets loaned to get game time so it’s a baffling move.
Not to mention having to exist in Hull.

Reading a few reports now that suggest it's a done deal - Herrington to Hull.

Would have preferred Arsenal but I guess he's more likely to play at Hull. Woody Woodmansey and Mick Ronson famously chose Hull over Leeds.

Yep the reports are cropping up now:

He’s more likely to play at Hull until they’re in relegation trouble and change managers 10 matches into the season.

Still, I am stoked to have an Aussie in the Premier League. I seriously did not follow the league at all last year and now I’m a Hull City supporter.

An important detail but how Brisbane Roar have fumbled the bag here?
They could be sitting on millions of dollars from their sell out clause as it would have boost their coffers now instead they will get the minimum of it of this transfer.

A lesson here is not to underestimate your players and you should treat every player especially the younger ages as saleable assets which you can profit from over time.

I suspect Brisbane Roar underestimated him to think he would be this good for the elite of European football when maybe they thought he would be the run of the mill player that would have had a good career overseas in the MLS or a smaller league overseas?

In all seriousness though all Australian clubs aleague to the NPL have to get better at this as this is the best way major money can be made in Australia through the global transfer market which can be a big advantage for us compared to the other sporting codes which they can’t access from.

Doubt Brisbane owners even follow football

Brisbane have not so much fumbled the bag as tossed it in a dumpster. Amazing lack of nouse.

What a carnival of fools.
