Australian transfers 25-26 Winter

Darcy Burgess trialling with Victory tonight in their Friendly against Northcote. Another mystery trialist on the bench, anyone know who he is?

If he can't jag a move before the window shuts that guarantees first team football I'd be coming back to the A-league.

If he's good enough at 26 he can light up the league and still secure a decent move come January or seasons end. Can't afford more minutes on the pine.
Victory needs to replace Teague.

Not really a transfer, but exciting young midfielder Danilo Treffiletti just signed his first professional contract with Monza. Will be following very closely over the next few years - needs to be at least in the young Socceroos squad at this stage, maybe even on the fringe of the Olyroos

I'm sick of these silly articles every year.

Just trying to gain interest in the league without actually doing anything.

It's about as significant as my local community team saying they're interested in signing Balotelli.
Don't know how it happened but as a kid I was always fond of the local heroes of my sports teams. The whole marquee foreigner thing didn't faze me. It's doesn't now, either.

huge... great move - if he plays. Annoyed it took so long but time to knuckle down and get some minutes ASAP. If he playing on the left he going to hard a hard time displacing the captain Haraslin who just signed a new long term deal also.

His assistant coach is his old U21's coach very interesting and Brian Priske has coached Mabil previously.

It's good that he's finally left Newcastle but it's a poor move.

Might struggle to get minutes playing at a big club playing in a league where there's a good chance that most of the other clubs are weaker than AL clubs.

And he doesn’t speak the language, doesn’t have a support network apart from the coach. Won’t be easy. Good luck to him!

The club is strong and the city is cool. Should be a good life experience if nothing else. The leagues quality is sketchy. It hasn't been a great league for Aussies that have played there. I hope Kuol crushes it but I am concerned. Still better than Newcastle U21s.

Wayyyyy better than any U21s squad and as for the foreign language with no support etc...that hasn't seemed to trouble Jed Drew in Austria...or even Nisbet in Netherlands thus far.

I think Garang has the Volendam experience under his belt plus the resilience that would have grown from his time at both Hearts and Toon.

Well overdue move that may not be perfect but was mere days away from more time wasted so fantastic news I say!
