Australian transfers 25-26 Winter

No slight on 3.Liga but would it be a smart move considering the increase in scouting eyes on the A-league? English clubs will continue to monitor.

My hunch is that the interest is more likely from 2. Bundesliga.

Flicking through our squad if we lose both A.Goodwin and Pierias we're legit a youth team plus about 5 seniors.

It's gone under the radar a bit with western united, Brisbane and even mariners getting talked about but something is definitely going wrong at Adelaide

Victory has also had an odd off season. Not to the same extent but still.

The incomings won't replace the outgoings.

A definite shift to returning youth with D'Arrigo, Jelacic, Lino.

But we've lost Teague, Bos, Arzani, Langerak, Badolato, Fornaroli from last season.

It'll be interesting if thats it for us or we have something lined up. There are almost no rumours except a Kuol link a couple of weeks back.

Still feel there is ample time for A-league incomings with approx 9-10 weeks to go before round 1.

Agree though there has been immense player movement out of the league.

In terms of being a competitive league it would be way up there, but in terms of general quality... not all that far off 6th so "arguable" is the definitive word.
In terms of competitive league the Championship (I'm a Derby supporter) is better than the PL. Only 2-3 teams can win the PL at present.

The 'quality' debate is I guess fairly subjective it seems.
Are we talking about the quality in regards to the league being competitive overall?
Or is it the perceived technical quality of the players?
Or the quality of the play as a viewer?

I think what the Championship has is an incredibly closely fought and competitive all round competition that would be hard pressed to match anywhere in the world.
But there is no doubt other top divisions in the world where there are players and therefore teams with better overall 'quality' ;)

poor fans expecting the next lucas neill

Not that I wouldn't love him to reach that level!

Lewis Miller at Blackburn Rovers for an undisclosed fee. He'll be under contract for the next three seasons through 2027-28, with option for season 2028-29.
I'm going to have to renew the BeIN Sport subscription with all of the AAs playing in the Championship. Hopefully they still have Bundesliga & Serie A games as well, so we can watch Irvine, Metcalf, Circati & Volpato too
