Not a chance he goes back to the A-League yet lol. Especially when they have Pat Beach (for now).

I think he should try the Championship. Or alternatively he could stay at Levante and help them go back up.

I think it's more likely that Mathew Ryan will want out of Levante if they get relegated and if he goes to the lower divisions of England there's no guarantee that he'll get regular game time which may be more detrimental for him.

Especially if he doesn't want the pressure of having to prevent his team from being relegated...
 
I thought he was 35 but he’s only 33. Even so, why wouldn’t he take the cash and the lifestyle in the MLS at his age? Would be great if Maty Ryan refused to play in the MLS because there’s no promotion/relegation but I doubt it even enters his mind. This is all hyperthetical and probably won’t happen anyway!

Only deterrent I can think of is having to live in America. I suppose he could live in Canada though.

Liga MX would be a cool move. Mexican clubs do quite well in continental competitions and even challenge MLS clubs.

I really hope he doesn't go to the US. It's been such a graveyard for Aussie players. Only Yazbek and O'Neill have managed to be starters lately. Even Cahill had a rough time.

Fair point but something of a match provider for those nearer to the end of the career at a decent quality. I agree it's easy to get bogged down there as an AA.
