I've only been keeping half an ear out for these. What have I missed?

Ausies Abroad Transfers - Winter 25/26

Confirmed:

Forwards
[ ] Anthony Carter to SC Farense Portugal (2)
[ ] Mitchell Baker to Colorado Rapids - USA (1)

Goalkeepers
[ ] Thomas Glover to RB Omiya Ardija - Japan (2)

Rumours:

Defenders
[ ] Alex Bonetig to Portland Timbers - USA (1)
For the women only one so far (see the women's thread but the only one is Amy Sayer).

I don't mean to be a party pooper but I'm kinda feeling frustrated with these transfers. Like it happens so often and most clubs are selling for way under value.

If players move so often then what's the point of following the a league really it's just young players playing to leave.

This kid had a very promising start to his career and is still young enough to come good

Hope he rises. Australian youth football suffers the sae labelling issue with a kid at a big club like a player with a Spanish flag 'oh, he must be good.' I remember Fox doing an article on Aussies in the EPL and it was basically all the kids in reserve teams who saw maybe 1 or 2 games if at all.

These talents need to break away from youth football when they're 18 and get to the 5th or 6th tier even and then try the EFL. Dench is another at Charlton. Roar now I believe.

yeah try and get consistent game time at least at league 1 level by the time you are u20

how many 2006 born players are playing in league 1 regularly this year?

Cahill got regular minutes in league 1 by u20, and Lucas neill as a u19

Adelaide are rumoured to be letting go of Folami and Kwaaitaal this window. The latter already has an offer from another club according to Airton in his post-match presser.

Ruben Amorim sacked at Man United too so I wonder if James Overy now comes onto the bench sometimes. Stupid decision to sack him though given Man U are having a good season so far.

Was really hoping Overy could get a run in Amorims 3-4-3 wingback role would of been good to see if he could do it for the Roos. Word is solksjaer may come back and he played a lot of youth last time.

surprised by this. He looks like he needs another year to dominate at this level but could definitely peak at Ligue 1 level in France. If its an early sale it might be a step sideways or to the MLS
