Here I am, a Muslim, who follows the religion in private, who loves Australia, and has fallen in love with everything about this place. I froth a bbq, and have my Broncos stubby cooler next to the couch for my non-alcoholic drinks when I watch the games. I participate in time honoured traditions at events and in my social life. I respect every individual Australian to live their life the way they feel comfortable. An example of all you claim Muslims to not be, yet you insist that Muslims are violent hateful vitriolic, and that all 2 billion of us are the same. The first rule of Shariah is to follow the laws and to respect the people and values of the land in which you live. If you can't do that, you are not following what your religion tells you, and therefore, not practicing Islam properly.

Has social media warped your thinking? I'd say yes. It certainly has fucked with mine.

I 100% know that if 99% of them were disgusted with this, there wouldn’t be open celebrations on the streets when it happens.

The onus is on the good members of society to be wary of what can be plotted in their community. Many actually have no exposure to what is being plotted as evil acts are planned in back rooms or covertly.

In saying that, a lowly speaker at German mosque just last week called for a Christmas market attack and Syrians and Moroccans volunteered. Thankfully all were swiftly arrested.

I think the good members of society go to places of worship that would have zero tolerance for such sentiments. The issue is side sites and meeting points where someone preaching violent acts is generally agreed with by many who attend. Those who disagree are too afraid to report it out of retribution.

There have been German documentaries where they attend and flat out ask visitors and speakers what they think about such words and the response is just brushed off or briskly agreed with then they walk away.

I'd like to think Australia still has things better under wraps and we need those good members to keep promoting positivity and zero tolerance for extremist views.
