Yes, I follow both of those reporters closely and I don't accept they demonstrate a left wing bias. I mean come on, Laura Tingle was the political editor for the AFR for a decade!

Do you actually watch either?

They absolutely maul Liberal leaders whenever the party is in government yet never laid a glove on Albo in Labor's time in power.

The only time Albo gets criticism in the media is on places like 2GB, 3AW etc and the bloke is too much of a jellyfish to go on there.

Well maybe you shouldn't have whinged about "right wing" media and then put up the ABC & the Guardian as examples of "balanced".

You are clearly a leftie who can't handle opposing views to you.

Nobody with sanity would suggest either organisation is balanced.

If I can't use a media organisation that literally has a statutory impartiality charter as an example, I think I'm going to struggle to meet your subjective requirements of what constitutes "balanced" media.

This has been an extremely frustrating conversation and I don't think there's much utility in engaging in it any longer.

The ABC may have impartiality in their charter but they've gleefully breached it for decades.

Anyone who watches other services along with the ABC knows that if it leaned any further to the Left it'd fall into the Indian Ocean.

That might be your subjective view, but it's not one that has been shared, by and large, by the bodies entrusted with enforcing the ABC's impartiality standard. My read is that, actually, the ABC's impartial reporting doesn't track with your world view and that has triggered you.

Also, the Indian ocean is to the right, if I'm looking south.

Of course any of their reviews wouldn't come out with the truth that they're left-wing biased.

Yes, I also read the Guardian, AFR, Daily Telegraph, Conversation, SMH, Fin Review and Australian.

I am not aware of that happening, but if you have evidence otherwise I'd be happy to consider it.
