So what should the LNP do then?

Become a Labor-lite party and carpet bomb their base?

Australia is fast becoming a one party state, in the case of the fumbleball loving states Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, ACT it already is.

And spare me the bullshit that lefties gob off with about free and fair elections.

Russia has elections too but the same fucking mob get in every time.

If Labor/Greens supporters had their way Australia would be like that too.

the major party's are nothing what they once were agreed - infact as mentioned many times they are closer than they ever had been.
Labour once the major blue collar worker champion yer right, hippocrites, align with greens polar opposites to their beloved Trade Union mugs, hello Bankstown's Keating with antiques and living the high trendy life......
The other minor one track pony parties are spoilers/decoys that are no diff to One Nation, for the protester against the main - hence factor why the 2 mains are getting weaker......

I think that Labor is pretty shit but the LNP has entirely lost it's way....

Also, I don't think that Australia is going to look like Russia anytime soon....

Ol' mate Albo isn't that much different to Malcolm Turnbull. He's barely that much further to the left than John Howard.....

Apart from a few inner city twenty something, Guardian reading hipster types, Australia isn't a particularly politically radical country. I would imagine 80% of Australians are sensible centrists....

Taking a centrist position might not be what the party activist base on either side want, but it's been pretty effective for both major parties in terms of getting elected down the years.

It just depends who's flavour of the month and at the minute its Ol' mate Albo!!

Neither - but I am a long time watcher of Australian politics - from the mid to late sixties. I suspect you had to look up some of the names I mentioned.

You might notice that people are now talking about the Christian Brethren in relation to the LNP. Their first involvement was in 1968.

My father was the best man for who should have been the best Treasurer Australia ever had who later taught Hewson (LIB). Equally an ALP member whose widowed mother was living with him proposed at our place (to escape his mother's intrusion). We often dined with both of them in Canberra, in our place or in theirs in their electorates.

My sister and I got the two swords from the Sydney Uni from their production of 'Pirates of Penzance' from the above ALP member above and that other rabid communist Bronwyn Bishop.

If you think Morrison is or was a Christian then you obviously know little of him. He is as much a Christian as he is a Sharks supporter. He hates League and is a rugby man through and through.
