One nation surge looks like it was either short lived or just in one poll, with mainstream parties (thankfully imo) continuing to be the most popular

Any poll this far out from an election can be taken with a grain of salt. It's a hypothetical poll as there is no election in the near future so most people aren't giving it a lot of thought. If you take all the polls together you can get a trend but its way too early for any apparent trend to be irreversible.

true but it is in the global context where there has been surges of non-mainstream parties (or takeover by the non mainstream in the case of the usa) across the western world the last few years, fueled by a backlash to immigration. So even this far out from an election, I'd still take note of any similar trend taking place here

You're equating the world's worst attrocities with a sustainability tent for old biddies at the chelsea flower show?
It's an analogy. People don't want environmentalism shoved into their face everywhere they go. The same goes for world conflicts.

Would you like Charlie Kirk's opinions being reiterated everywhere you went? Clearly not.

As I said, they should put the best debaters of each side on a stage and go through the topic rationally. It shouldn't be part of an event people wish to go to for enjoyment.

That depends, are you talking about his public persona opinions to milk the feeble minded or his secret gay lifestyle ones?

See the two dipshits that were arrested for threatening the Iman and his missus, were trying to get bail to live in his mum’s caravan in dandy because they are ‘withdrawing from drugs’, but judge said no because one is already on bail for strangling a woman.

fighting for Aussie values hey 😂

180 withdrawals so far.

Jewish lobby up to their eyeballs in it.

Malinauskus in the shit.

Festival now cancelled.
How long until like the UK.

After someone was arrested under terrorism act for wearing a ‘plasticine action’ tshirt - mocking how having the word Palestine would get you arrested, an dude made a video walk around saying to various police at protests ‘I support the genocide of the Palestinian people’, yet no arrest because apparently it’s fine to say and think that.

Plasticine or anything that sounds like you are against genocide = arrest

Publicly supporting the murder of women and children (brown ones) = sweet as.

So that’s where we are in 2026

Imagine if the Chelsea flower show was about the environment and climate activism? I'm sure there are stands on sustainability there.

Worst analogy ever.

Writer's festivals are known for being 'edgy'. Flower shows, not so much.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has said he is “stunned” by the Coalition’s resistance to the government’s antisemitism response bill after almost a month of demands from the opposition that parliament be recalled early and legislation responding to the Bondi shooting debated.
He condemned the Coalition shortly after Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke spoke on radio slamming the opposition for being hypocritical, as key Coalition figures argue they laws would damage freedom of religious expression and speech if passed in their current form."

"We need to stop hate speech"....but "we actually love hate speech" lol.

Perhaps one of the best bits of all this can of worms that they brought on themselves is jewish leaders worried that versus of the Torah could fall under the laws, and there should be exemptions for hate speech using religious text.

No surprise. They are special of course.

Also, while happy to criticise the bill the coalition has offered no amendments.

Typical from the party who openly opined 'its your right to be a bigot'.

This is what I was looking for into her hissy fit. She actually offered nothing in the form of an alternative.

But then again, if she was honest it would be 'You cannot criticise Israel, but any minority or marginalised group you should be encouraged to do so.' Which she obviously can't say publicaly.
