Got Germans saying an EPL channel would be fan unfriendly. They've clearly never used NFL game pass. The only issue would be pricing. If the EPL can price their content fairly then they'll have the masses signing up.

How popular is the Premier League in Germany?

Would it be regarded as people's second choice league to follow?

In England La Liga is generally considered the most popular foreign football league.

The Premier League has its fans, of course, but from my experience... the majority of fans in Germany follow German football (at many levels).

Yes, I agree, both Singapore and HongKing are very strong markets fornthe EPL. Probably more so than anywhere else in Asia.

So a great 'canary in the coalmine' option.

I totally agree....

German football is fantastic. It has probably the best fan culture eco-system in Europe.

I actually quite like watching Bundesliga 2.

The attached link is what's happening in the US pertaining to media ownership.

Larry Ellison has won out over Netflix's to buy Time Warner, and given he also owns Paramount as well as a number of other media assets.

Further Paramount are investigating heavily into Football at the moment.

I do wonder aloud what if anything this means for our media deal.
