Australian Dual Nationals 🇦🇺🏳️

That's true for Segecic. He's gone now.
It does say though that he could make a special appeal to Fifa.

Perhaps in future if they dont end up capping him, he could argue that he made the initial switch on the promise of international football which didnt eventuate and after he fell out with Popovic at the time (assuming popa has left by then).

Ironically this may end up happenning - unless he progresses to top flight football i cant see Croatia capping him.

Ive just checked Gemini again and its agreeing with you now lol

As you said above, because ASEAN tournament not a Confederstion final tournament like Asian Cup.

Unfortunately though its saying Segecic cant switch back to us as players are only ever allowed a 'one time switch'.
Correct - I think we went through that a few pages back.

Players are only allowed a one-time switch, and that is finalised once they play for their new nation at any level of game, of any format, of any official or unofficial capacity.

So how did James Overy play for us, then Scotland, then us again? How is Antonio Arena eligible for us? Old rules?

Because you are allowed to switch once!

Arena has not yet switched (whether to us or from us to italy) so if he was to change his association from Italy to us, that would be his 'one time switch' done, provided he then plays at any level with us, whether Socceroos, Olyroos or under 20.

As per the actual document - https://digitalhub.fifa.com/m/ccab990abf45fcf6/original/ro8mje8vw98yp3rvfbmi-pdf.pdf (we'll be looking at Article 9 which starts at Page 30):
  • 'was fielded in no more than three matches at “A” international level in any kind of football for his current association, whether in an official competition or non-official competition:'
  • has never participated in any kind of football at “A” international level in the final tournament of the FIFA World Cup or a final tournament of a confederation competition.
  • The phrase “official competition” is defined in the FIFA Statutes as “a competition for representative teams organised by FIFA or any confederation”.
ASEAN would be considered an 'official competition', but not a 'final tournament of a confederation competition'

Well, there's your problem
Also NCB, the requirements you have stated only apply to a player who is less than 21. Once a player turns 21, it only takes one official match (ie FIFA or continental championship qualifying matches) to lock him in for that country (Art 9 c (iii)).

I thought was the case. As we always go about about on here how popa didnt give segecic a fews mins in the qualifiers. If the 3 game rule were in effect (for all ages) then popa capping him a few minutes would have been irrelevant anyway.

But as youve pointed out because he was 21 last june, all popa had to do was literally play him 1 min 😫

Baker only 19 though so technically still eligible.
