I'm not sure he was ever eligible to play for us. Did he ever get Australian citizenship?Probably not much but losing Christian Vieri surely was a hit

yeah I believe there was a paper where scientists sent identical twins dna to some companies and they came back having different ancestorsI love how Jordan Bos & Kasey Bos have different results somehow![]()
I think a bit differently to you. It's pretty clear to me that we are his second choice. Even if he makes himself available after he can't make Italy's team I doubt he will ever be motivated when playing for us. I can't see that being a good long term proposition for either Volpato or our national team. I would be happy to have him prove me wrong, but I can't see that happening. If he does decide to play for the Socceroos he is a very talented player and will surely be motivated. If he doesn't good luck to him but I can't see him in a major tournament for Italy for years.
Oh wow we have a 6'6 keeperSome dual-national players we could see feature for the u17's this year
- Max Lyall-Rajendra (2009) plays for Watford u18 as a 16 year old ( ENG / AUS )
- Anton Mitchell (2009) 6’6 GK playing for Cagliari u18 ( DEN / AUS )

He's just not at the level for the Azzurri, really don't understand the thought process sitting out multiple WC's.Cristian Volpato wasn't in the squad for Sassuolo in their 1–0 away loss to Napoli.
Yeah I agree it's pretty damn clear he'll never be an Azzurro, but he could absolutely be a Socceroo. He's just not at the level for the Azzurri, really don't understand the thought process sitting out multiple WC's.
Not Azzurri quality though. Federico Chiesa can barely get minutes for Italy and he's at Liverpool. No way a Sassuolo player gets in over a Liverpool player.Volpato has been injured for a few weeks and looks like he’s coming back at the end of January, at the earliest. He was in good form prior to the injury.
god damn he is 22 years old now. Sad to say it but I don't see him getting close to the national team.Zak Gilsenan has gone on loan to get some football. Now at Buxton, very low on the hierarchy!! Scored on the weekend.
Promised a lot but missed so much football over the past 4-5 years. Not many Aussie kids have been at Barca and Liverpool youth academy's.god damn he is 22 years old now. Sad to say it but I don't see him getting close to the national team.
