You just need to look at Nigeria. Interesting how big nations like England and Germany don't do too much at junior level despite the players being in their top domestic competition.Yeah there is a correlation with senior success, but a loose one
you could have a team flog a powerhouse but it mean nothing in the long run, you could also have a team get flogged and have a terrible youth tournament but then have good careers
Results over several cycles matter a lot more than any one world cup
Countries like Ukraine, Honduras and Uzbekistan do very well at youth level and are generally there. USA a permanent fixture too.
