We honestly deserved to lose that game. Our boys looked far too complacent. Need to fix that cocky attitude as these ASEAN nations are improving rapidly.
We'll bounce back on Friday in the third place match against Laos and hopefully finish our campaign on a high by bringing home the bronze medal, but agree that when we regroup and look ahead to the under-17 Asian Cup or even next ASEAN Championship cycle attitude and discipline are definitely things the Joeys will need to work on.

Probably doesn’t mean heaps if guys like Antonio Arena at Roma are training at European academies who won’t release their players as they won’t learn much from these games. I’d be much more concerned if the Socceroos were losing to these countries’ senior teams.

Saw the goals in the highlights reel, i'm not going to lie Vietnam's second goal was a well worked set piece, along the ground, initial dummy by the first player and then finished first time by the second player quite refreshing to watch given what we see at the top level with how set pieces are utilised.

Not all set pieces have to be balls thrown into the box just to crowd the goal keeper out of their sight which looks frustrating because they have little power to control that situation.
