Pros
McAllister has been really impressive, even leading up to the goal. He’s also the second youngest in the team and eligible for the next u20. Hammond pretty good too. I can’t remember an Aussie youth team attacking this vertically in the final third, which is great to see.

Negs
Jovanovic should’ve finished off the game by now, do we have someone to replace him? Dukuly’s corners and freekicks have been average and we’ve rode out luck at the back too.

How would we be going without the red card?

we do have piol on the bench

though i think jovanovic has looked good at times
 
This team isn't that strong for an U23 group. Nowhere near our best. Defence looks awful on paper and isn't performing on the field.
 
Win lose or draw, Vidmar needs to get the press conference right and express confidence in his playing group

yeah can't. believe some of the defense I'm seeing

Paul has been a lone solid hand

Bovalina and simmons a bit disappointing so far

Always a struggle when it's outside the international window. We coulda had players like Alessandro Circati, Nestory Irankunda and Adrian Segečić for example but their clubs obviously won't release them. Still think QPR shoulda released Daniel Bennie for this though, no point having him sit on the bench when he could be at an international tournament, especially when they released Jaylan Pearman.

given how important the olympics are to australians we need to campaign for this to be during a fifa window
