Listening to a report on channel 10 and 10 players who were originally picked weren't released by their clubs. Adelaide and CCM were the only two clubs that allowed complete access to their players.

As FA thought it was unfair to take heaps of players from those clubs whilst other clubs refused to release players, FA only took a maximum of 3 per club. This is the reason as to why Kikianis wasn't selected.

We know that Badolato, Gibson, Dobson, Bozinovski, Pantazopoulos, Caputo and Beach were 7 of those players who weren't released by their clubs.

You can add Victory to the list of clubs that allowed full access to their players.

The reports wrong. Diles confirmed we made our players available. If you look at recent youth team selections everyone you'd expect to be picked has been and made available.
Esposito wasn’t picked…

I have no doubt that he would’ve been picked if he was available, especially when you look at some of the other CB’s who have been picked.

Only an Olympic qualifying tournament and the Olympics could we possibly get them all together. It'd be awesome.

Message to the kids, if you want to play for the national teams, don't play for a club where other kids getting games. Message to fans, with 10 players missing, this is nowhere near our best squad. It's garbage messaging.

Something needs to change here. We have international breaks for Socceroos A-League players, but we lose many more A-League youth players to national teams and don't have breaks for that.

We can't have some clubs being punished for having a great youth system. We need some criteria carved in stone that every team adheres to.

Do we let all players become available, and if a club loses 4 players then their match is rescheduled? Do they just have to be starting players? Do we stick with a cap of 3 per club and accept the mediocrity? Do we allow clubs to block playing for their national team? It makes me a bit sick, actually, that clubs are allowed to do that.
