Nah, like others have said there’s players like Borello and Vellupillay that Poppa will prefer. Underperforming in the A-league is better than excelling in Europe.Hopefully Popovic selects him for the Socceroos World Cup squad.
Velupillay is going alright.Nah, like others have said there’s players like Borello and Vellupillay that Poppa will prefer. Underperforming in the A-league is better than excelling in Europe.
46 in championship which is indeed a more extreme adjustment to the continentI think I've just read an article on 360 Football where Seg says they've already had 25 games in the Championship this season - the same as the entire AL season. Also, how it prepared him for games every 3 days going to Netherlands at an earlier age, then returning to the Aus AL. Seg said Aussies have a game every 7 days in the AL. Then have a lot of recovery and rest.
Sadly, in the same article, the same issues arise with so many Aussies getting injured in Europe, which the Sports Scientist, Martin Field?, and Danny raised in different G and G podcasts. Someone suggested that UEFA clubs will stop buying Aus players, because they are so injury prone in UEFA seasons. However, I have read Eredivisie only has 34 games per season and Scandinavia only plays 26 games a year in home and away fixtures.
It is only English Championship that has 50 games per season, isn't it?
The 50 figure is possibly adding on cup games which every team in the top four divisions (Prem and EFL) plays at least two of (FA Cup and Carabao Cup). So that would total 48 games, but usually a Premier League or Championship team is good and lucky enough to not get knocked out straight away so many do end up playing 50.46 in championship which is indeed a more extreme adjustment to the continent
I wish that were our formation in the national team. After a bit of time coming off the bench, that Sega’s 4th straight game for Pompey, during which he’s scored in two and assisted in another. In the 3 games he’s scored/assisted he’s played on the right of the narrow front midfield 3 in a 4231.
as i said on the podI wish that were our formation in the national team.
A win will definitely be helpful for Jordan Bos and Feyenoord to have a chance at making the Europa League knockouts but other results have to go their way also.Bos and his team want to win tomorrow if they are gonna progress
Could still play Segecic right inverted forward in Popovic's system.as i said on the pod
I can live with poppa ball if it gets results, but if the results don't come its doubly depressing because you didn't even get to watch a fun game!
So I'll reserve judgement till after the world cup
indeed he definitely is needing to learn a very similar position. It doesn't suit him but he is adjusting very well at a decent level. If Volpato doesn't play for us he is definitely in our top 4 inside forwardsCould still play Segecic right inverted forward in Popovic's system.
I think League One and League Two sides are more likely to be playing at least 50 games as well because the entirety of the EFL has a 46 matchday season and League One and Two clubs also have the EFL Trophy in addition to the FA Cup and Carabao Cup.The 50 figure is possibly adding on cup games which every team in the top four divisions (Prem and EFL) plays at least two of (FA Cup and Carabao Cup). So that would total 48 games, but usually a Premier League or Championship team is good and lucky enough to not get knocked out straight away so many do end up playing 50.
He does indeed RF 61 mins and a pretty nice rating of 8.2 per fotmobJordan Bos starts for Feyenoord in their Europa League game against Sturm Graz.
Wow he is in and out like a yoyoNo game time for Garang Kuol, who was not in the matchday squad altogether for Sparta Prague in their 1-0 club friendly win over Legia Warszawa.
Was he off for an injury?Jordan Bos starts for Feyenoord in their Europa League game against Sturm Graz.
Briefly yesWas he off for an injury?
