probably our best chance at producing a 6 is a cb convertingWouldn't be the worst outcome if he was converted into a #6 - similar to Triantis
Do you not consider Balard, Luongo, Devlin, O'Neill as 6's?probably our best chance at producing a 6 is a cb converting
they work well in double pivots, but if you have a single 6 you usually want them physically dominant and technically strong at the same time, which is very rare. If a team plays a single 6 effectively, it would be rare that they are below 185cm and all three of those players are quite short. This is true even in really technical, "short friendly" teams like spain. Busquets is 189cm for instanceDo you not consider Balard, Luongo, Devlin, O'Neill as 6's?
I'd still consider them a #6.they work well in double pivots, but if you have a single 6 you usually want them physically dominant and technically strong at the same time, which is very rare. yeah maybe I should say "sole 6" in which case I definitely wouldn't unless the level of opposition is very lowI'd still consider them a #6.
Are they all in double pivots at their clubs?yeah maybe I should say "sole 6" in which case I definitely wouldn't unless the level of opposition is very low
looking at their heatmaps on sofascore, its complicated. Devlin is the closest to a sole pivot as his midfield partner moves forward a lot more often in what can sometimes look like a diamond (Diamonds are different to a sole 6 with two attacking mid in front of you because your wide midfielders are closer to you to give the 6 more support in defence). O'Niell looks like he is in a double pivot, while Luongo and Balard look to have a midfield that rotates a lot, kind of like 3 central mids with fluid roles if that makes senseAre they all in double pivots at theie clubs?
