Wow!I mean I get what you're saying but most people today aren't looking for common ground they want to get one over the other person. You wouldn't survive a day on reddit I'll tell you that. Real life I find people are talking to each other less interesting topic though
Good post, FUL!First team coaches and managers, regardless of their nationality tend not to prescribe under age programmes at clubs. Their remit is very much first team level and maybe the reserve team if there is one.
The under age training programmes are usually done by the technical director and his staff and are usually applied throughout the various age levels at a club or it's academy. Many clubs do employ people who are from Europe and many employ people who are British. I think it's lazy to attribute someone's coaching abilities and practices to their nationality. For example there's a guy on here who always blames Australian football current technical problems at the feet of the Dutch KNVB programmes, technical initiatives and Dutch coaches. That's nonsense.
When Dan Ashworth was the English Football Association's Technical Director he implemented many of the technical initiatives within the FA's various training programmes for under age national sides that led to successful U17 and U20 World Cup tournaments. Dan Ashwirth was not a continental appointment, he came to the FA from WBA.and was English.
Well said, Mr C.Guys, I very rarely reach for the Moderator hat - I think this is the second time.
This is a forum for fans of Australian football... people who only want the best for Australian football. That doesn't mean we want to dance around the Maypole with pixies and unicorns - criticism is fine (and anyone who's read my articles on 442, FTBL and the Roar will know I'm quick to criticise where it's warranted). Robust debate is always welcome.
Criticism is one thing. Deliberately trolling every thread, insulting members and taking delight in failure is not welcome.
If the forum gets to the point where people feel it necessary to put people on ignore then the forum loses its diversity and its appeal.
In all honesty, I don't get what possible pleasure anyone could get from the kind of inane trolling that has been happening recently, but it's reached its limit.
If any individual reckons it's OK to keep trolling, they should be aware that a ban is possible. If you read this and suspect I'm talking to you...
Why not take a month off and decide whether you actually have anything positive to contribute.
Thanks for posting, MCG.Middlesbrough injury update with mixed news on Riley McGree and Alex Bangura - Teesside Live https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport...ddlesbrough-injury-update-mixed-news-32143829
Confidence is a two edged sword. On the positive we transitioned to small sided games and deck football really quick compared a football nation like scotland who are also trying to changeGood post, FUL!
Without wanting to digress, Dan Ashworth as FA Tech Dir, had low status amongst EPL coaches. I remember when Harry Rednkapp ridiculed him.
Conversely, in Aus we had Han Berger, who had the arrogance and confidence to dismiss any sceptics and naysayers, who may have used spurious rationale to discredit him.
Id love to see McGree in the Bundesliga .Thanks for posting, MCG.
I wonder if McGree is one of those players who may benefit from a shorter season than the Championship, which has a long season?
In Socceroo stats, he has performed much better than I expected in 1v1s.
Lupi serves no purpose here. It's not discourse but rather trolling every thread, non football too. If someone makes a strong point he'll just reply with childish emojis.Guys, I very rarely reach for the Moderator hat - I think this is the second time.

We have dealt with this. Now letās continue back on topicLupi serves no purpose here. It's not discourse but rather trolling every thread, non football too. If someone makes a strong point he'll just reply with childish emojis.
Interesting seeing Robertson in League 1, when you look at all those names above him in the Championship. Only 22 years old so still very young, but I do wonder if we may have collectively over-estimated just how good he is. I wonder if he might have over-estimated how good he is as well, in effectively deciding to turn down the Socceroos. Many were thinking of him as a long-term first 11 Socceroo for the next decade, but I'm starting to wonder. I think quite a few Aussies in his position are probably ahead of him right now.So to the question, of the top of my head, it's:
2 EPL: Triantis and Kuol. They count as they're listen on the bloody fantasy site!
17 Championship: AMB, Glover, McGree, Silvera, Souttar, Elder, RBR, Matthews, Farrell, Triantis, Waddingham, Bennie, Pearman, Adamson, Burgess, Luongo, Irankunda
6 League 1: Baccus, Cahpman, Bilokapic, Robertson, Francois, Watts
3 League 2: Jones, Ogle, Hollman. Gilsenen registered as Irish. JRB released
Tricky part is he may shine but also be tied down by poorer team mates around him in League 1. I think if we go back to last season he was a stand out for a poor Cardiff. Its interesting he's kept true to Cardiff as he surely had interest from Championship clubs.Interesting seeing Robertson in League 1, when you look at all those names above him in the Championship. Yup, good points. I would think that like anyone working their way up from lower league and building a career that if his form truly demanded it, he'd have concrete offers higher up to consider. I daresay many of us would have been disappointed at the idea that he'd be playing in League 1, if asked to predict his trajectory 2 years ago.Tricky part is he may shine but also be tied down by poorer team mates around him in League 1. Interesting point. Will be fascinated to see how he turns out.Interesting seeing Robertson in League 1, when you look at all those names above him in the Championship. We overrated both Volpato and Robertson tbh.Interesting seeing Robertson in League 1, when you look at all those names above him in the Championship. These guys need to maintain their professionalism. If they're truly that good then take the hit and prove it at a lower level. There are some that get babysat and bought by another club despite their tantrums and that's just asking for trouble. Kalvin Phillips and Jack Rodwell spring to mind.Yup, good points. Robertson is a funny one. Cardiff were so dire and torn amongst themselves that the infighting and coaching changes didn't see anything cohesive. Robertson performed really well when he was on the pitch and scored some good goals. I reckon if he came into the national team we'd be amazed at his skills. Compared to O'Neill and Irvine on the ball at least. Glad he's got time in his side.We overrated both Volpato and Robertson tbh.
