I think London City Lionesses will be one of the teams in contention for Holly McNamara given that she fits in with their transfer policy of shopping for future European champions, and if she were to move there she would also be teammates with Alanna Kennedy, which should theoretically sway any transfer decision in their favour.
Good shout. They currently have Izzy Goodwin who compares well in many aspects statistically (looking at the league statistics for this season, though the WSL and A-League are different).

London City also have a perfect mix as you said of young talents (e.g. Jana Fernandez) and experienced big names (e.g. Kosovare Asllani, Daniellë van de Donk). Izzy Goodwin and Holly McNamara fall into the first category while Alanna Kennedy falls into the second (though she lacks game time there).

A win for the Mariners against an inform Roar which is good to see after conceding three goals in added time against the Victory.
Rasmussen continues her goal scoring streak, she has come on leaps and bounds this season.

Annalise Rasmussen now level with Holly McNamara on seven goals and joint first in the race for the Golden Boot after scoring a brace in the 3-2 win for Central Coast Mariners over Brisbane Roar.

Fuck that was a good game!

Canberra United with a 1-1 draw against Western Sydney Wanderers to get A-League Women matchday 11 underway, with Milly Bennett scoring her first ever ALW goal to salvage a point for the Wanderers. Brisbane Roar forced to settle for a 2-2 draw with Wellington Phoenix after Brooke Nunn scored an equaliser for the visitors in the 98th minute of their game.

Perth Glory with a 1-0 win over Newcastle Jets after captain Isobel Dalton scored the only goal of the game in the 9th minute. It's their third straight 1-0 win at Sam Kerr Football Centre and ensures they remain unbeaten in home games played there for season 2025-26.

1–1 with Wanderers is quite poor from Canberra who I think are challenging for the title.

City vs Sydney should be a great much but it won't be. Likely a one-sided heavy defeat for the Sky Blues sadly, and the board still won't sack Ante Jurić till we get the spoon (which probably won't happen since Wanderers are awful).

Melbourne City with a 1-0 win over Sydney FC to close out A-League Women matchday 11, with Chinaza Uchendu scoring the only goal of the game in the 62nd minute. Holly McNamara got another assist and Bryleeh Henry finally made her long-awaited return from a back injury, coming off the bench in the 67th minute. Adelaide United ran out winners over Central Coast Mariners by the same scoreline, with Emily Condon scoring the only goal of that game in the 47th minute.

The league is very inconsistent at the moment making it difficult to find a trend.
It’s not helped by the variance in ‘games played’ with some teams having played 10 games while others have played 7.
Hopefully this will even out before the finals.

Sydney FC are still unbeaten at home after their scoreless draw against Adelaide United though, extending their home unbeaten streak to four games in addition to recording another clean sheet.
On a positive note our back line is great, but paling in contrast is our attack.

Here's one highlight from Heather Hinz in goals:

Given she's only 24, is there a possibility she could end up naturalising and playing for the Matildas as a backup or are our options too strong and plentiful? Of course this is talking about the future, and maybe I'm biased as a Sydney fan, but she's currently kept more clean sheets than Chloe Lincoln who is a Matilda and has only one less than Sally James who is also a Matilda.

Speaking of clean sheets stats, what's the reasoning behind Courtney Newbon at 25 years old having never received an international call-up on any level nor a move overseas despite being one of the best goalies in the league (she's even reigning Golden Glove winner)? She's kept as many clean sheets as Sally James this season (equal first with six others, despite Victory's shaky defence) and last season kept more than anyone (again, she was the Golden Glove winner) including Sally James and Chloe Lincoln.

I think there is a possibility of Heather Hinz eventually naturalising, but the process would take too long and if she were to get a callup for the Matildas she'd likely be the third string keeper because our current options are quite strong and plentiful, in addition to the fact that both Sally James and Chloe Lincoln have big game experience from playing in and winning the ASEAN Women's Championship with the under-23 Matildas. With regards to Courtney Newbon not getting an international callup I'd say it's down to the current Tillies selection policy but she might well end up moving overseas in the near future.

Yeah can't get my hopes up knowing that Kayla Morrison is still regarded as American by FIFA. Yes she is obviously American but she has Australian citizenship and is eligible to switch to Australia, yet they still haven't let her.

They have however let Laura Hughes switch to Wales and Mary Stanić-Floody switch to Serbia, and while I'm not saying FIFA shouldn't've let them switch given neither would be starting for the Tillies, the Laura can't speak Welsh and Mary struggles with Serbian.

Melbourne City had a 2-1 win over Wellington Phoenix to move into top spot on the table.
The Mariners prevailed over Newcastle Jets 2-1 in a thrilling contest .
It’s good to see Annalise Rasmussen take top place in the Golden Boot race with 8 goals scored.
Breakout season for her, wonder if her and Izzy Gomez will get moves overseas especially with Holly McNamara likely to do so. We've got so many young ballers in the league that could make it overseas in the near future.

I think Gomez will get a move overseas, I believe she has had offers.
Rasmussen needs another season in the ALW, she is only 20 years old so time is on her side.
