AFC Women's Champions League

I broke my ankle during my own game on Sunday which was devastating, but I suppose a small silver lining is that since I'm not at work I can at least watch this live on my TV at home.

I suspect she might get subbed on in the second half, just based on previous games.
I think Chinaza Uchendu will come off the bench in the second half when Melbourne City are looking to close out the game along with our other attacking options in Bryleeh Henry, Caitlin Karic and Danella Butrus but Tokyo Verdy Beleza are also a dangerous side with the likes of the comp's second-highest leading goalscorer Moka Hiwatari and former Brisbane Roar player Danelle Tan coming off the bench for them so we have to be careful not to get complacent and try to convert as many chances as we can throughout the match.

Agreed.

I'm glad it's streaming on 10 and actually has commentary.

Looks nice and wet - my mother and her partner are there in person. I'm not jealous right now haha

Oh and the drummer guy is there, I forgot my brother met him before the grand final and learned he was going. Gotta admire the dedication.

Yuzuho Shiokoshi scores in the fourth minute of the match to give Tokyo Verdy Beleza a 1-0 lead early on. Shino Matsuda with the assist.

Two goals early on isn't great, but City have picked it up a bit which is good - and a goal as I was typing this is a great touch :)
Tokyo Verdy Beleza have been more clinical and disciplined in terms of their passing throughout the first half with their defensive line largely stifling Holly McNamara and Shelby McMahon which has meant that we've been unable to capitalise on chances created and subsequently end up committing turnovers leading to shots at goal.

At least give Melbourne City a chance to go all the way in AFC Women's Champions League next year given that they've already earned the right to go this season.
It was more sarcastic. I’m just sick of City putting in shit performances like struggling to beat a team from Uzbekistan when they’ve got such a talented squad. At least four players will be overseas next season surely, if not they’re holding their career back as well as taking up a spot for a new youngster.

Agree that the Melbourne City playing list should ideally be performing better in Asian continental football especially given how dominant they were in the group stage as well as in the Dub this year, and players like Shelby McMahon seem to have regressed since last season in terms of the performances they've been putting in.
