AFC Women's Champions League

Victoria has adequate infrastructure but Geelong would be unavailable in late May because of the AFL and I don't think any venues other than AAMI Park which meet the AFC regulations are going to be available especially since the semis and grand final are also midway through the NPL season.
Why can't we host it in Casey or aami

Melbourne City can and most likely will host their quarterfinal at AAMI Park already, and it will be the most suitable venue to host the semis and grand final should Melbourne get hosting rights, whereas Casey can't host because ctrl:cyber Pitch doesn't meet the AFC stadium regulations regarding seating capacity.

With all respect it's a bit silly having a Melbourne team playing finals in Sydney last time someone came up with that idea it didn't end well
So was the UCL final last season silly because it wasn't in Paris?

The Champions League grand final is different because UEFA rotate the venue every year so theoretically every club has a chance at obtaining hosting rights, whereas the APL were selling all grand final hosting rights to Sydney which went against the earned hosting rights model that was previously implemented in the A-Leagues.

Hate to be pedantic but it’s a final not a grand final.

City vs Nasaf tomorrow! Should be a comfortable win for City.
Holly McNamara should be extending her lead in the race for the Golden Boot in tomorrow's AWCL quarterfinal at Home of the Matildas, with the winner facing Tokyo Verdy Beleza in the semi-finals after their 5-0 win over Stallion Laguna.

Australia's main competition for hosting likely comes from South Korea, as the Korea Football Association (KFA) has already expressed formal interest in hosting the centralised finals if Suwon FC Women progress.

So we're a chance
Suwon FC Women play the reigning champions Wuhan Jiangda in their quarterfinal so it may go down to the wire but we are still in with a shout of hosting the centralised semi-finals and final though.

City up against Beleza (Japan) next, they had 45 shots to zero last match 😳
Melbourne City should probably still be the favourites even though they were shit against Nasaf. Tokyo Verdy played Stallion Laguna who City also smashed. Stallion no longer have Emily Roach who has come back to Melbourne.
