Cycle of a Kiwi player:

Start up at Auckland or Wellington → go overseas for a few seasons → go back to Auckland or Wellington

Emin Durakovic is moving to Brisbane Roar after being culled by Melbourne City and will be under contract at the side for the next two seasons through A-League Men season 2027-28.

Very interesting signing, he was a player that was consistently spoken about as being one of the jewels of the city academy.

It just never seemed to work out for him with injuries and form.

Theres a player somewhere inside of him, I’m just not sure brissy is the right club to bring that out

Anthony Caceres is leaving Macarthur to pursue an overseas opportunity after making 31 appearances for the side in A-League Men and AFC Champions League Two across a year of service time where he scored three goals and recorded two assists for them.

Wellington Phoenix are culling five players from their A-League Women playing list, with Lucia Leon, Emma Pijnenburg, Tessel Middag, Ella McMillan and Ela Jerez all leaving the side at season's end upon falling out of contract.

I thought the first two did well, not sure why they’re getting rid of them. Maybe the Nix have some more good stuff planned. They’ve really risen a lot lately as part of a broader rise in the quality of the remaining Dub teams. I think it’s part of why Sydney are shit now, other players caught up and we didn’t stay ahead but hopefully we’ve learnt our lesson now. Wanderers are just a terribly run club.

I've been impressed with him for City.

Miguel Di Pizio is moving to Western Sydney Wanderers after being culled by Central Coast Mariners and will return to the side having previously gone through their academy system. He'll be under contract for the next two seasons through the end of A-League Men season 2027-28.

Which league are Barnsley playing in next season?

Don't want any young Aussies who are potential Roos going to League 2 and wasting their time, like Jake Hollman last season.

I think Jets' Clayton Taylor and Eli Adams should have been in senior Roo discussions this season.
Barnsley will be playing in League One next year after finishing 15th on the ladder this past season.

Bryleeh Henry and Alexia Apostolakis are leaving Melbourne City upon falling out of contract at season's end to pursue opportunities overseas.

Like I said, very talented player and he will get consistent minutes (if the body holds up) but brissy won’t be the right environment for him to prosper. (unless they recruit experience in midfield)

Brissy’s engine room is very young (stajcic is the most experienced and he’s 24/25) it’s a long off season though and who knows, maybe brissy will sign an experienced European pro to play next to him.

I mean they seem to be the only club signing players regularly this off season lol
