A-League Mens 25/26 - Round 2

They should have NEVER been admitted. Two teams tops for all capital cities only.
Yep agreed And worse this franchise pillaged a local northern NPL club to get in the comp and discarded all the local players who gained promotion over a few years to the top.
This should not have been allowed as well.
Lots of wrongs from it’s beginning destained to fail.

Yep desperate when you’re desperate to fill a squad.
He’s ok
My son played in his Spartans squad.
Good luck to him but the 1st squad players from northbridge had some gems better than him actually.
A lot of people pay out on Rose, but to me he is a young Mitch Duke (as in when Duke was younger) with a little of Matt Simon (without the sheer aggressive quality).

He is fit, fast, wants to win the ball and he makes the opposition work hard. If you give him a chance he will create havoc and may even score. Good for closing a game out.

As for pinching players from an NPL club and ditching them over the next couple of seasons - you have to ask if the players feel like they gained from the experience and pay. In an industry where exposure is such a big factor in your career, how good is training at a fully professional level and training/playing alongside quality team mates and support staff?

How many of the players from that club would have even been seen as an option for the top league? It is the Rocky principle.

I think the players would consider themselves well ahead.

The club and supporters of the NPL side would no doubt be pissed off at their club being stripped - but surely they would also have some pride over their players getting a shot.

I get your points Rimb and Rose is ok mentioned.
As for the latter they ditched many good Snr players between 22 - 28/30.
They had a top team scraped them to put in their academy youth players for NPL.
Again not right and look where they are.

Northbridge. Who are the biggest whores in football in NSW, first they were Northbridge "Mariners" then they found a new sugar daddy in Northbridge "Bulls". Joke of a football club.

All they had time to. It was over as soon as it was called. If it was a Mariners goal they would've taken longer and turned it over. See that given against them a number of times for less over the last three of four years.
The old saying in football is the more you have the ball the luckier you get, now considering you didn't get your first shot on target until the 80th minute it seems to me you weren't going to get very lucky that day.

Yes true that ez.
The previous committee during the CCM tenure got to give them credit brokering that alliance - it was a win win have to say and reaped rewards both sides especially for NB they grew very well in turn a minnow local their firsts kept gaining promo that was what we like to see from small clubs even thigh I didn’t agree with it - they lifted their Jnr Regos promising hope to the big dance here that only so few could get a chance.
FYI there was a fall out at NB committee wise I vaguely recall hence the breakup with ccm and those involved departed otherwise it would have carried on.
Bulls went for an easy target to get the NPL license and NB out of the big NPL game.
Now they are back where they started.
