Cum again? Do u not think Talay has a eye for youth? He did play a youth squad that dicked a full strength team in the ACL. But I don't follow SFC so maybe you know more about it then me. I haven't been watching many SFC matches is he over looking the kids>?
He has no clue about youth, look at all the young players he barely plays and they end up elsewhere.
I cant say that's a just thing that SFC do, play retirees instead of some kids. In Wellington I guess he was forced to, had no option other then use what was provided as the Nixs don't spend big. Or maybe the youth system in Wellington is better then what we see from SFC.
Look at all the ex SFC youth players in the league and indeed around the world.
Maybe its the boards call? When you look at Adelaide, CCM and the Nix also the Jets this season all there kids are getting 1st team football or coming off the bench for 45min making a impact - once they establish them self they move on. Maybe SFC dont want to put money and time into a kid that will just walk after a year. I don't know the logistics of how clubs fund there players but it could be more cheaper in the long run just using a import or retiree for 2 years that are less likely to make mistakes and bring %100 straight away to the club. Its something the big clubs have been struggling with for awhile. City have been using a lot of kids this season where as Victory i guess like SFC just don't.
It's Talay, SFC have produced more youth first team players than any other club in the past 20 years. The club have said they are going along the youth path.

No mate, just think it is a bit of a disingenuous comment to say the Aleague academy U14s were stacked full of talent when those players developed elsewhere up until U13s and were scooped up from surrounding clubs with the promise of a better (only) professional pathway.

BTW, that is normally how development works, usually from the teens, not the under sevens.

IN Australia mate... there are ONLY 10 professional teams that can hoover up the talent.. IN the UK, Some kid in the Cardiff academy isnt going to necessarily get poached by Swansea for example are they?
