A-League Mens 25/26 - Round 14

Okon off early

he was unbelievable early in the season but a bit mediocre the last two games. Wonder if he has a niggling injury

I think he is just finding that playing against men, especially in those central defensive areas is not that easy. Not many step up at his age. I just think it is an adjustment that he will overcome - just not ready yet.

do you think oppositions are muscling up on him?

hopefully adjusts in a few weeks, he often doesn't peel off his defender with as much separation as other a league players because he relies on his technique to keep him out of trouble

Talay is a very limited coach if he couldnt adjust from the 1st half where his slow backline was getting exposed with balls in behind. Surely Joe Lolley cant be the difference between 1st and looking like a pub team?

he hasn't had a lot of success at a league level has he

Jelacic with a little dink from outside the box looked like he was hitting a 3, nothing but net

esposito with some class at the other end

oh dear 4-0

you would think Talay has to be in trouble

So let me get this right. Wanderers had Mata all of last season but decided not to play him?

Worse yet, they ruined him as a crowd puller. If this was his 1st season here and he was pulling the strings like this he would have attracted crowds. The Wanderers killed his shine. Luckilly Diles isnt an idiot and is utilising him.

So why no second yellow for pulling the shirt back?

Inconsistent bullshit every week

Mata masterclass again.

Geez Nish is in awful form. Holds it too long, ignores the best pass, loses the ball etc. Not a team player. He's trying to impress in a WC year but he's making things worse for himself.

I talked to a couple of Wanderers fans recently about this and they couldn't understand it.As he had little game time they thought he must have been washed up but this season has proved this is not so.Great for young players to see a player like this in action.Because he has great technical proficiency he makes the game look simple.

Wanderers style last year required a lot of mobility in the midfield so he didn't really fit
