Wanderer's have been a toxic swap of poor administration and management for a very long time. If they think they're being clever by approaching Talay I assume halfway during the season and "poaching" him from Sydney they're now looking like chumps. Talay's management of youth and man management in general is looking really bad now. The players were jack of him and now it looks like PK"s gruff exterior masks a genunine concern for the welfare of his players and a desire to play youth. And look where they are now. Looks like Sydney FC management vindicated once again, on top of the general bad vibe the season was turning into as soon as they found out he was negotiating with the WSW, they told him to fuck off straight away.
Talay is not a bad coach, look with the Nix he had a tight budget and was force to play kids amd did well, at SFC they gave him to much free will with a big budget amd he didn’t deliever. I think he can change the toxic atmosphere at WSW and if the club forces him to play kids I believe WSW will be in the top 6 next season.
I’m being optimistic for the deadbeat club in WSW but I think with the low crowds amd ooor performances it’s time to change.

My take is that there are still the same small number of genuinely high-quality films and series, but a LOT more dross to fill the endless digital spaces.

Pre streaming, there was one reputable estimate that 5,000 films were released every year in different ways.
Agreed. Not to get too far off topic but there’s no doubt modern media has democratised the landscape. Likewise journalism, information etc etc the removal of gate keepers has lowered the bar to entry, so on one hand you get stuff like live stream of all npl games and hour long podcasts pertaining to them which you never would have before which is awesome.. but on the other hand there is something to be said about the sweet spot re the sorts of media productions that were possible re the relative creative freedom of the day, condensed talent and backed by big budgets and studios with resources in the 90s for example. Same could be said about old school investigative journalism etc

Regardless of what happens in the game, it’s time for Corica to go overseas the way Muscat and Aloisi have.

J-league would be idea, but somewhere at a higher level for him to grow in tactics and player development, so he can hopefully succeed and add another option for the Roos, as well as eventually bring that knowledge back to Australia

Before the game starts I would like to say that New Zealand should have its own professional football competition & their teams should stop mooching off Australia & the OFC. That is all. 😎
I’m fine with having them. We do it for every other sport. Australia and NZ are siblings and transnational sport is part of that. It’s also pretty cool that we’re a truly national competition unlike the AFL or NRL.

Fair enought, they said 28k will be there so that’s a great crowd. There’s nothing really on TV to watch other than this. Need more MAFS!
Gotta say A LOT of Aucklanders are here. Definitely some Sydneysiders too like myself but it’s mostly Auckland fans with a scattering of Sydney fans.

I think the rules should be changed to, should a NZ team make the finals, they will be held in Australia, I'm cooking tea and then I'm having a shower' so might see the 2nd half, the other thing is, I don't want either team to win, and if they do, make it painful

The AFL is expanding to Tassie in two years' time but neither the A-League Men nor the Dub has done so yet though in favour of expanding to the west of Melbourne.
True. I would like to see a Tassie team in the A-League. The AFL has teams in other states too to be fair so they’re a national comp but it’s not as popular east of the Barassi Line. The NRL feels incomplete because they don’t have teams west of Melbourne but nobody watches it there anyway.

I would like to see a Tassie team in the A-League.
It'll be good to see players like Courtney Newbon be able to represent their home state and for other Member Federations apart from Football New South Wales, Football Queensland and Football Victoria to have representation in our national league.
