Juan Mata is on managed minutes because he only made his return from injury for Melbourne Victory during the last week of the A-League Men home and away season and they don't want to risk him getting injured again.

In all seriousness his body needs managing as there is next season too.

I actually think the slight extension of his season helps him in that Popovic will want to hold out to get him into camp.

It's a conundrum.

Get in early and already on the outer= half a chance

Get in later and slightly favoured= decent chance

Get in early and slightly favoured= Popovic has more time to see training faults
 
People wonder why nobody watches the a league anymore. Absurd decision.

You cannot have a clearer visual representation of a foul. Even studs up can be deceiving. There is zero excuse for it not being a yellow and foul.

Jets will fancy themselves over 2 legs against Sydney.

The shirt pull was a pen imo. The other one chalked off good call.

Not sure whats going on with the AAMI playing surface but it was like ice skating.

MV struggling big time off the field, couldnt even get both upper levels open.

I've got to see the footage myself. It's not good enough.

Early on the ref was blowing odd fouls then big ones get let go.
 
Devenish-Meares deserves a crack at the Socceroos after that game (and this season)

Shirt pull - not sure how not a foul

Reversed pen…. I mean it looked like a dive…. Someone somewhere said something about a knee in his thigh? I don’t know… first response to replay was that it wasn’t a pen.

Of course it’s a shame to see Melb Vic get dicked by VAR…

He trained with Australia last window so get him to Florida for training as the others will be in a bit later.
 
Victory ripped off a pen all day long, but then again they had there chances and blow them of the park.
