Also the original "next harry kewell" and probably one of the least succesful (though like most next harry kewells had a solid professional career)

Did that stat come from a time traveller 4 years in the future?
 
He was great off the bench for the Glory last season, and I hope he will be as well this season, but yeah, 4 more years might be a bit much.
 
I remember Adelaide vs Perth last season and a group of Adelaide United fans were ripping into David Williams every time he went out to warm up. Mostly about his age :D

He came on and scored and ran straight to them to celebrate. Quality good natured banter.

His a great player and nice off the pitch.

They need to bring guys like him into the media more and get their personality out

Problem is that by the time the players are properly match fit and the teams are in good form, then the summer temps come into effect and the game slows right down. Summer for football is just a bad idea all round. That means you get good form and high pace all at once. It's why the NPL feels better than it is. The lack of experience and fully-pro players is counteracted by a higher paced game. Then you have the risk of relegation thrown into the mix and you get some great viewing even for the neutral viewer.

A winter season + another 2 months to the season would be the best. We need more games.

One of only three Indigenous players in the league too. A lot of untapped talent there.
 
How good is it that the lynchpins of the MV midfield are local and young players....Veladon and Teague have been superb
 
Special mention to the utter fuckhead City fans who were waving an Israeli flag at MV fans....like wtf?
 
And seriously, what is the point of VAR? How do we always seem to get VAR reds - like last week, which I can accept the red but he was going for the ball, when here he clearly stamps on a player! This was not even reviewed wtf

 
Finally have joined this forum lol, in terms of the game Melb City were dreadful but Victory look to be the makings of a great team this season.

Teague and Valadon could be this seasons Nisbet and Ballard and could take their games into the next level.

Perth Glory don’t look to have started well but I feel it’s too early to judge the teams given they are starting from a long pre season but I agree they haven’t started well.

Behich clearly knew his opponent was on the ground just behind him so he knew what he was doing- reckless play if not totally deliberate! Yellow card minimum. Dirty prick.
