Im just reading what people were posting in the years before i joined to get an idea for what the culture was like those early years

Given how people spoke back then i dont know if there was any incentive for lowry to appease anyone. People much more megative about the nst, grassroots clubs and pandr back thdn compared to even a league reddit today. Mind u 442 might have not been representitive of the broader community mood

I suppose you could try to get around it by having all their home games@ night and/or having them mostly play out of North Queensland to pander to that market also.

correction appease wasn't the appropite word, he was talking shit/BS/crap/fairytales but for.........
A 2nd level was never going to happen under his watch (talking Feds football) unless the AL went on successfully and if so it would have been its own 2nd closed shop having franchise's vs franchise's still leaving the main football core beneath.

Mind u, if u hype a kid before they are regulars at senior football u will get disappointed most of the time i reckon

Reece is playing LB for Berkeley Vale and working as a real estate agent. He was in my son's year at High School and was probably the fourth best player in the the year. The best played for Gosford City Dragons either B or C grade depending on the year so that he could play with his mates.

Some of our most talented kids just play for the love of the game.

The majority of youth team players don't make it as professionals. It's nothing to do with clubs judging it wrong, or kids not working hard enough - the competition for places is just too high.

I haven't looked too closely, but I'd say it's an extremely good youth team if more than half of the players are still pros at 25.
