2026 Hahn Australia Cup

EXactly what i said but the sticky point is that its trying to get pushed to AAMI for whatever reason.... like lakeside cant handle it... stumbling blocks are being laid to avoid it from happening from one direction....i give you one guess which one..

i can only imagine who, heaven forbid you have an NPL club in the ACL.

we all know it will end up going to an AL side.

Yeah but weren't they paying like $1 per match or something? $100K is alot of money per match for a club who couldnt even dream of stumping up a $500 security for NST.
We dont have to worry i agree with what @Beretta said they wont allow themselves the grief of this.. they will find a way to stop it... had it been south or su55 they would have found 1 already...

no chance in hell they'd let us participate. lol.

in saying that, fuck playing in that competition if that's how much money you need to front.

normally clubs generate or get money for qualifying for the champions league, i would have assumed that money would cover expenses, like field hire if required? Do they even get money for qualifying?

Too worried SMFC would become asia team of the century. Hahaha.. the idea alone gives them nightmares im sure of it.

LIke with the europa/conference league there is a pool from tv rights and participation etc that is available im pretty sure... beyond that the extra cash is for wins draws and the run itself guides how much.

Laughable if you are suggesting the APL have any say in this matter.

ACL is extremely difficult to deal with even if you comply with everything, the amount of money they will drain/shake from the club requesting x,y,z is insane. I heard of stories of clubs getting fined 5 digit sums because officials found supporters with ACL approved branded drink items.

It's why they tape Coca Cola branded cans at ACL games lol

Sadly like Hellenic said here, a lot of the APL would prefer if ACL fucked off. To me, it's what I look forward to, I rate contential football so much.

Not the strongest line-up this season from SA. Half of the teams remaining are from SL1, and only two others are from the upper NPL (WT Birkalla and Adelaide City). Actually, WTB and City play each other this Friday night in a massive NPL clash.

The usual suspects in Tassie, with Devonport and South Hobart looking to play off for their only cup spot. Both in good nick this year.
